    Aiming to provide quality health benefits to every family of the state, Mukhyamantri Swasthya Bima Yojana (MSBY) is being implemented by the government. Increasing the limit of benefits under this scheme, the government has raised the coverage from Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000.

    Almost half of the population in Chhattisgarh consists of the youth, keeping this in mind, we started a new initiative to empower the youth & presented a new youth budget for making us the 1st State in the Nation for providing the Right to Skill Development to youths. In the new fiscal year 2015-16, we made a provision of Rs 6,151 crore for the youth budget, that was 16% of the total project cost.

    Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium – The state government has built the Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Raipur in an area of 54 acres with the investment of Rs 100 crore.     The state government has launched the Pre- Engineering and Pre-Medical coaching plan from 2010-11. This scheme enables the admission of SC and ST students with more than 80% marks, belonging to non-taxpaying parents, to national level engineering colleges (IIT & NIT)

    After April 2009 the state government has started giving farmers a 3% annual interest rate for loans on cow farming, fishing, and horticulture apart from crop farming. Presently, loans are being provided in the state at an annual interest rate of 1% for nursing training, vocational training and four-year BSC nursing training. This scheme was started in 2009-10.

    CM’s Child Heart Protection Plan – under this scheme, which was started in July 2008, more than 1200 children have been treated and successfully operated for heart diseases completely free of cost. The state government has spent around Rs. 13 crore on these operations. Under the plan, four major hospitals of the private sector have been contracted. This includes – Escort, Ramakrishna Care (Raipur), Apollo Bilaspur and Apollo B.S.R (Bhilai).

    Jan-Shri Insurance Plan – The plan was started for every Tendu Leaf (Beedi Leaves) Collectors’ family in May 2007. Insurance benefits on account of the head of the family’s condition are - normal death Rs 20,000, partial disability Rs 25,000, total disability and death due to accident Rs 50,000.

    As a result of the significant achievements in the field of literacy, Chhattisgarh has received the National Award four times in the last 5 years. In 2006-07 the Dantewada district has received the President’s Satyen Maitra National Award for the Total Literacy Mission.

    BPL Book Bank Scheme – This scheme was developed for students living below the poverty line. The program is aimed to provide books according to the study courses, enforced from the academic sessions - 2005-06.

    Saraswati Cycle Supply Scheme: The scheme is being operated from 2004-05. Under this scheme high school girls of scheduled castes and tribes were provided with cycles. In 2007-08, this scheme also included girls from all casts below the poverty line.

    Debt Exemption: More than 5 lakh farmers have been exempted from a debt of 150 crore by the Seeds and Agricultural Development Corporation. Farmers are being provided with certified seeds at reasonable prices for agricultural purposes by the Agricultural Development Corporation. The Annapurna rice-cereals Centre is providing rice-cereals at the rate of Rs. 5, 130 such centres have been established.
